The Booklet that Changed My Life, K.T.

By the Lord's mercy, my former school teacher found the local church, and she gave me a copy of the Life-study of Genesis, written by Witness Lee, when I was a college student. This book changed my whole view of life. As a student majoring in literature who aspired to dedicate her whole life to studying it, I had encountered many masterpieces. But none of them answered my major question: Is there such a thing as a transcendent truth in this universe? But amazingly this book not only revealed to me that Jesus is the God who created heaven and earth, but also answered every question I had: Why are there so many troubles on this earth? Why are many religious people, including even some Christians, so hypocritical? Why are Christians divided? I sensed that this book, which expounded the Bible, was totally different from any major works by famous authors. This author, Witness Lee, got me to fall in love with Christ.

One day I decided to go to the meeting at a local church in Tokyo, and I got baptized on that day. The Christians in that meeting were very faithful to the truth of the Bible, and they were full of life and expressing Christ. I saw the reality of Christian faith through the meeting.

Since then, I have never regretted meeting with the local church. The people are genuine and faithful to God, and they are very normal. They have the fragrance of Christ.

Two Servants

God needs His servants in each age throughout history to carry out His eternal plan. He is the mighty God, but He can carry out His plan only through the cooperation of man. These servants need to be those who are not only faithful to God and obedient, but have the same heart's desire as God. I believe that Watchman Nee and Witness Lee are such servants of the Lord.

I received the Lord through reading Witness Lee's literature. Although I had no Christian background and never had read the Bible, it was very clear to me that what this author cares for is only God's heart's desire. He spoke and wrote not what man wants to hear, but what God wants him to speak, without caring for the criticism of others. Witness Lee was like Daniel (in the Old Testament) in the sense that he stood with God against this evil age and its influence on God's people.

Many people care for their own interest, but I thank the Lord for the focus in the ministry of brother Witness Lee: God's heart's desire. I believe Witness Lee and Watchman Nee were faithful throughout their lives, and they were ministers needed not only for the 20th century, but for the consummation of this age.
